Welcome to Renuyou Skin Clinic in Cambridgeshire by Claire Beesley Aesthetic Nurse.

My name is Claire and I am passionate at providing professional qualified aesthetic treatments and skincare. I am dedicated in providing full information relating to any treatments or products. I like to help my clients feel and look their absolute best in their own skin! My clinic is very discrete and professional.

Consultation comes first!
Treatments always start with a consultation. This will allow me to assess the suitability and safety of treatments for a client. All treatment pathways have an individualised approach. Medical history will be assessed and your skin concerns will be listened to. It is not a one size fits all approach. Consultations are required before each treatment face to face. No remote consultations will be performed. I follow the Guide to Consultation Excellence for Aesthetic Nurse Practitioners in the UK which is published by the Medical Aesthetic Prescribing Programme (MAPP).

Filler is still the go to for instant results.

Check your practitioner knows the classification and advises of the risks.

Always ask to see the CE kite mark on your product which proves it can be given under the medical device guidelines.

Here’s a little snippet of my clinic this week at Easter.

So excited to have @albusandflora products in clinic as featured on @bbc Dragons Den.

I’ve felt for a while there’s a gap in the market for SPF lip care that doesn’t dry out your lips. No one wants dry lips, especially on holiday in the sun.

I listen to my clients and I get asked for this type of product a lot before holidays.

Did you know…
The UK has some of the highest prevalence rates of allergic conditions in the world.

I recently completed basic life support training.
This is mandatory every year!

This helps me to spot the early signs of a reaction in my clinic and treat it fast.

In my career I have also trained in intermediate and advanced life support.

Last year I was involved in a resuscitation in the community which lasted for 1 hour!

This is one of the ways I help to keep you safe in my clinic.

What mandatory training does your practitioner have?

If you have a planned surgical procedure involving a general anaesthetic, please allow at least 4 weeks before you book treatments in clinic.

Regenerative treatments using new techniques!

Polynucleotides with a cannula are a more efficient and comfortable way of delivering treatments.

My clients in clinic ask me a lot about it.

Does it hurt? How long does it take? Do I need numbing cream?

This video shows how comfortable my lovely client is. It takes less time than a traditional needle with absolutely no numbing cream needed!

These lips are one of my favourites that I had the pleasure of working with and my lovely client.

She had a pre existing symmetrical difference in the bottom lip. I used filler at a site specifically to enhance the lost volume.

A comfortable client is essential!

Yes, I apply numbing cream if appropriate on a client. Some clinics don’t consider using cream as it takes more time!

Some clients like to use our squeeze balls and have something in their hands.

Plenty of time is allocated for each client at every appointment so no one is rushed.

The most relaxing and reassuring technique I find in clinic, is talking to my client throughout their treatment. Many years as a nurse has given me the basic but valuable skill of Therapeutic Talking Therapy or TTT. Saying the right things at the right time is essential for client comfort.

For instant noticeable or subtle results, filler is still the number 1 treatment.

Filler does not have the same legal requirements as some aesthetic treatments. However, it is still classed as a medical device (UK Medical Devices Regulations 2002).

I provide all filler clients with consultation, medical screening and risk management by using an occlusion protocol.

We have a range of filler and skin booster treatments available in clinic.

Filler and skin boosters in the UK have a classification of medical devices and require a CE kitemark. However, these treatments do not require a separate face to face appointment unlike some anti wrinkle treatments.

This means that following our consultation, you could have these treatments straight away.

It helps being a registered medical professional to understand the classifications in the UK. We are also members of BAMAN so we hear first about regulations.

Did you know ….

The purple bin lid means a separate specialist disposal.

Some treatments in clinic require by law a cytotoxic disposal due to how the products can denature after use.

We have a regular contract with a sharps disposal company. Our waste is checked to ensure we have placed the sharps we use in the correct bin.

We have to show evidence of our disposal system to our regulators.

We love lip filler especially when it corrects other areas!

By lifting the lip area it can discreetly help smooth the lines around the mouth (oral commissures).

We complete a full facial anatomy assessment during our client consultation. We discuss the risks and benefits and offer our clients a range of options.

From June 1st the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) have introduced new regulations around the prescribing of anti wrinkle injections (BTX).

A face to face assessment must be completed for every prescribing episode.

Three visits to clinic are required every time :

1. Consultation and assessment.
2. Treatment.
3. Review.

We use Aesthetic Nurse Software to document details of your assessment and treatment.

And yes my regular clients will tell you, I run my clinic like this anyway.
